Bihar’s top cop has voting hassles
Director general of police (police training) Abhyanand today faced embarrassment when he was denied permission to vote as his name did not figure on the voter’s list, media sources reported.
“I really felt embarrassed,” Abhyanand told reporters after being disallowed to cast his vote at a booth at Patel Nagar under Digha assembly constituency in Patna. Abhyanand said when he along with his family members with EPICs went to the booth, they discovered that their names had been deleted from the voter’s list.
“It really shocked us and I have complained to the district electoral officer (DEO) about it,” he said.
Six hard core Maoists caught in Gaya
Meanwhile, Bihar police nabbed six hard core Maoists including Deep Singh, the area commander of the Revolutionary Core Committee (RCC) from Gaya District.
A police team headed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Lodha got information that Deep Singh was hiding in nearby Khekara village and arrested him. After his arrest, police cordoned off another area and arrested five other Maoists on the basis of information provided by Deep Singh.
Deep Singh was wanted by the police in connection with nearly a dozen cases of extortion and arson.

Similar thing happened in booths near boring road and Boring canal. Many families found their names ‘cancelled’.
