Ultrasound: the story of a technology and its murderous uses!
The ultrasound technology may be dated back to 1794, when a researcher in Italy was studying the navigation patterns of bats. He found that it is possible for the bat to determine distance of an object even in the dark by measuring how long it takes for sonar to bounce back after hitting an object. Bats do it instinctively but precisely. Ultrasound is energy generated by sound waves of 20,000 or more vibrations per second.
