Really how rural is India’s rural economy, anymore!

Really how rural is India’s rural economy, anymore!   Walk into a typical village in Bihar [no village is ever really typical of course] and the word ‘village’ and ‘rural’ immediately take over. The thatched roofs, the spread of agricultural fields, lack of electricity, the clean air, the typically rural clothing like ‘dhoti’ all create a rustic spell. Very soon you begin to see ‘rural’ society and economy through your urban eyes. But if you bother to stop awhile at the little and the big huts, the modern constructions, and the decrepit sheds, checking on the sources...
