This week Bihardays is bringing Matti Pohjonen’s photos of Bomabay.
“Dividual City” was a series of pictures taken in Bombay in 2006. My aim here was to create a portrait of an urban city that would not focus – as has been the stereotype often especially in countries in India – aesthetically only on people, on smiling faces. Why? Anybody who visits a city such as Bombay for more than a few days knows that in such an enormous metropolis most of the people we meet are not concrete individuals....
