…and the wild dogs of Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, Jamshedpur are back after 20 years Dalma, Jamshedpur: once in a while we hear some good news on the environment front in India – according to reports, after a gap of twenty years, packs of wild dogs have been sighted by villagers at Dalma. The divisional forest officer (DFO) of Ranchi wildlife division A.T. Mishra confirmed their numbers at a meeting with villagers at Makulakocha, putting the figure at a modest six. “I met villagers, who claimed to have seen the animals at a watering hole and am satisfied with their version,” he said....
