Dengue kills 5 people in Munger

While Patna dithers, news from Mungeris that five persons, including four women, have died of suspected dengue. District Magistrate Avijit Kumar Sinha, who visited the Sadar hospital where two persons diedthisFridayand two others onSaturday last directed the Civil Surgeon Mukesh Kumar to constitute a medical team to ascertain the cause of the deaths. Those who died were Suryabala Devi, Kiran Devi, Savita Devi and Md Masood, all from Guljar Pokhar area in the town. Patna: Mosquito fear, Dengue is here. Its officially confirmed. A dozen dengue cases have been detected in the past few weeks. Meanwhile the health department has issued a directive stating that theres no need to panic as orders have been given to take urgent measures and treat dengue patients.
