Soon 105 buses to ply on 30 routes between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh
Patna: after a long wait, the Uttar Pradesh government has finally permitted the running of buses along 30 routes between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation will soon start services on these routes in the PPP mode. BSRTC will begin its services with 105 buses that will include 12 Volvos, 25 AC buses and the rest will be semi-deluxe. If things go as planned, the service will start by the next month.

World Bank credit for Bihar: 100,000 houses, 90 bridges and 290 km of rural roads
Patna: the World Bank president Robert B. Zoellick, is in Patna for a two-day visit Tuesday onwards. During his visit Bihar will sign an agreement with World Bank government for the development of parts of Bihar affected by floods in 2008.
According to the agreement, the World Bank is provide $220 million (Rs.1, 000 crore) credit for rebuilding to be carried out in areas affected by the Kosi floods in the state.
