Saurabh from Bihar wins under-9 national chess championship in Bhubaneshwar Patna: according to press reports, Saurabh Anand of Bihar won the 25th National under-9 chess championships that concluded in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. This was Saurabh’s Independence Day gift to his state. A boy from Purnia, Saurabh also won in the Commonwealth Games this year. Saurabh finished strongly with five victories in a row to win the Open event with nine wins and two defeats. Fifty two percent voting in overall Assembly Polls   Over 52 per cent polling has been reported in the overall assembly elections in Bihar for 243 seats. Briefing media, the Chief Election Commissioner S. Y. Qureshi said that 52.43 votes were polled in all the six phases.
