Multi intelligence analysis [MIA] software developed by a Bihari proves success in Bihar schools
Patna: A multi intelligence analysis [MIA] software developed by Ceon Solutions Ltd, Ahmedabad has proved highly successful in a trial run at five selected government schools in Bihar. This software enables a teacher to evaluate and identify a student’s specific weaknesses, also guiding a teacher in customizing his approach and inputs towards individual child.
In the context of mass education, where we are dealing with large and often unwieldy numbers, the software may prove a boon. Within a year’s period, use of the software helped reduce dropout ratio among students by 20 per cent and improve teachers’ attendance by 50 per cent.
Considering the success of the trial, the Bihar government is looking at installing the MIA software in hundreds of public schools. According to Ajit Kumar, the director of Bihar government’s HRD department ‘Students now understand things very quickly. Teachers are also happy because they can explain subjects more efficiently’.
‘We are now considering extending it to 500 to 1,000 schools,’ Kumar stated about the future plans for the software. During the test phase, five schools were covered. The second phase will cover 10 schools.
According to Abhay Panjiyar, CEO, Ceon, the MIA program had also proved a success in eight schools and two universities in Ahmedabad.
Panjiyar also claims ‘earlier, teachers were able to only identify students’ weaknesses. With the help of our software, they can now find the root cause behind a child’s poor performance and help him/her improve his/her level of intelligence’.
Abhay Panjiyar’s bio may be interesting for our Bihari readers – in his own words – ‘he was born on 10th Oct 1980, and grew up in Bihar in an entrepreneurial family. His had a wonderful schooling at Sainik School. He graduated from IIITM Gwalior with a combined bachelor’s degree in B.Tech and MBA.
