Akshara shares her experience of Ganga arti and Ganges cruise...
‘Ganga Arti’ & Ganges Cruise at Patna
By Akshara (Kuhu)
Editor’s introduction: Yesterday Akshara’s family had gone to see ‘Ganga arti’ and Ganges cruise at Patna. When her father asked Akshara, a grade II student how it felt, this is what she shared..
“We left our car near the entrance and walked down a narrow road, then we walked near wheat fields and reached the ship.We boarded it on a wooden ramp..it was very nice & clean…..and Ganga river is sooo big.
The ship started and we went for a looong ride, we even crossed under Ganga bridge. It was very nice and there was lot of oxygen( read fresh air)..I went up to the cafeteria and got some chips..and then I saw a big wheel with which Captain uncle was driving the ship. I went inside and asked him about it. He let me drive the ship..It felt just like Titanic movie..it was very very nice !!

Then after it became dark we came back and ship stopped near ghat ..we saw ‘Ganga arti’ from there. It was very very nice.. three people were doing arti with really big lamps and there were 100′s of small diya around. They floated the diya after the arti. Then we came back. I enjoyed it very much “
