Bihar Tourism making preparations for tourists from Bhutan arriving this winter
Patna: according to latest reports on news channels, the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has started making preparations for the arrival of tourists from Bhutan this winter with the onset of the tourism season. Tourism Minister Sunil Kumar Pintoo stated that at this point, a six-day and seven-night tour package, including food, accommodation and sight-seeing is being offered to the Bhutanese tourists. This influx of tourists from Bhutan comes in the wake of Bihar CM’s recent visit to Thimphu.
Going by the package offered, the tourists will embark a special train in Randia, a few kilometers away from New Jalpaiguri and travel by it to Bodh Gaya. After that the tourists will board buses to visit Rajgir before going to Kesaria and Vaishali. The train will have two air-conditioned and eight non-AC bogies. Thousands of tourists from Bhutan visit Bodh Gaya during winter to attend a number of Buddhist festivals. But the present facility will enable them to cover theentire Buddhist trail.
The first special train for the Bhutanese for the Buddhist circuit will carry nearly 800 tourists. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his recent Bhutan visit emphasised on promotion of tourism and said the state government would welcome tourists from here with open arms.
